As the Senior Property Accountant, you will oversee broad financial and management reporting for the group's portfolio of properties. If you are passionate about property and want to join a growing business, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of monthly reporting packages including balance sheet reconciliation, profit and loss examination, and variance commentaries
- Generating month-end accruals, journal entries, prepayments, adjustments, and analyzing income and expenses.
- Collaborating with auditors for the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Assisting in Property & Portfolio budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare variance analysis, commentary on performance, and key performance indicators
- Reviewing tax calculations and tax returns and BAS preparation and lodgement.
- Lease reporting
- Mentoring junior members of the finance team
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Most likely, you are a CA with 7+ years of significant and comparable experience working in a commercially focused role, ideally in property funds management, investment management, or Real Estate
- Ideally, you possess existing experience in a similar property or fund accounting role
- Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills related to funds management and/or property
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to form and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, whilst also having the capability to present confidently to a wide range audience
