Senior Property Accountant - Sydney Cbd

The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will have end to end responsibility for a large and complex portfolio of retail assets across Sydney & Queensland. The role is a mini Finance Manager in itself providing you the opportunity to engage directly with asset managers to drive performance

Responsibilities will include - 

• Responsibility for integrity and delivery of accounting results for a portfolio of retail properties
• Coordination in budget and forecast process and related reporting
• Preparation of variance analysis commentary for monthly and quarterly management reporting
• Identify improvements in month end reporting process and assist in streamlining the process
• Property disposal and acquisition – settlement statement preparation, settlement adjustment and post settlement financial management;
• Partnering with Regional and Centre Managers on a daily basis to drive financial performance

As a Senior in the team you will act as a mentor to a team of 3 Property Accountants with future plans to expand into people management within this role. You will own your portfolio and associated relationships with cross functional stakeholders with autonomy to make a difference.

About you

• CA/CPA qualified 
• Property experience highly desirable but not necessary
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Chartered accounting background favoured but not necessary
