This is a recruitment pool for Fixed Term - Full Time and Fixed Term - Part Time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s).

Position Profile:  

Bring your passion and commitment and make a difference to those that matter – the next generation. Whilst children develop at their own pace, some experience challenges and need additional support.

As a Senior Psychologist, you will provide advanced psychological assessment of children and young people within the Child Development Service, including diagnostic assessments for Autistic Spectrum Disorder and service planning for families referred to the service.

About Child Development Service

The Child Development Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and intervention services to infant, children and young people with developmental delay or difficulties that impact on function, participation and/or the parent-child relationship.

Clinicians adopt a child and family-centred approach, working in partnership with families to address developmental concerns that are of priority to the family.

Our teams include Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and other allied health professionals.

The Child Development Service provides services at approximately 18 locations across the metropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school and community visits as needed.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.  Fixed term and/or casual contracts can be held by individuals on visas that allow working rights within Australia.

To be considered for this role, you must have tertiary qualifications in Psychology and be eligible for registration by the Psychology Board of Australia.

In addition, to be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Psychologist prior to application.

  1. Do you currently hold registration in the category of Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA), if so, please provide your registration number. If not currently registered, please indicate your current stage in the registration process.

  • A current resume which summarises your experience and contains phone & email contact details of 2 professional referees, with at least 1 being a current or recent supervisor/line manager.
  • A statement addressing essential criteria 2 – 8, as outlined in the attached Job Description Form.
