Tell me more...The Senior Public Affairs Officer provides authoritative and strategic communications advice and is responsible for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of all aspects of communications including media and departmental liaison, internal communications, social media, issues management.
To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and present authoritative and accurate advice on complex issues that may have a significant reputational risk for the organisation and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Proven communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills including the ability to effectively consult and negotiate with senior management, clinicians, ministerial advisors, media, and other key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated high level written communication skills in the preparation of briefs, ministerial responses and reports that relate to managing consumer feedback and complaints in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
