Join Our Team: As a member of the Platform Quality Engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring excellence in our products through proven testing practices. Our team is dedicated to providing a unified and holistic approach to customer interaction, ensuring a consistent and outstanding experience across all digital touchpoints.
Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to foster excellence in our products by applying technical knowledge, leadership skills, software development methodologies, and best test practices. As a Quality Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality products in a predictable manner through the development and usage of tools and frameworks necessary to support testing and release builds.
How You Contribute:
- Test and assure the quality of Five9 Virtual Contact Center applications within an Agile software development environment.
- Provide technical leadership to design test plans, test cases, and test scripts for native cloud applications built in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Promote Quality and Automation initiatives across multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating process definition, best practices, and efficient usage of infrastructure.
- Participate in Agile software development initiatives, including stand-up, grooming sessions, sprint demos, and increment planning.
- Work within a geographically distributed team of Dev, DB architects, PdM, RM, and QE.
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
Required:
- Computer Science/Engineering degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience as a QE/QA in the SaaS industry, with an understanding of software development processes and testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of software version control, bug-tracking, and test management systems.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Experience in backend testing of web-based applications.
- Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, WebRTC architecture, and micro-service-based web technology.
- Experience with virtual environments (Citrix).
- Proven experience in building, maintaining, and supporting test solutions for enterprise SaaS applications.
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills, logs analysis.
- Problem-solving, analytical, and positive attitude.
- Good technical English reading, writing, and verbal skills.
- Strong interpersonal, reliable, and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of programming techniques and algorithms (OOP, multithreading, script languages such as Python/Java).
- Cloud platform experience such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure automation software tools.
- Experience in coding Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Java IDE - Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc.).
- Experience with API testing.
- Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
- Practical experience with DBMS (MySQL desirable).
- Experience in Test Automation projects for cloud computing solutions (private or public).
- Experience with ACD and Call Center practices.
Other Requirements:
- This position requires the ability to be On Call.
