THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who will be responsible for quality assurance in every phase of the our software lifecycle. This includes maintaining quality standards in writing test cases during the project design phase, testing and defect triage through the development and implementation phases through to support for production deployment of our products and software solutions.
This is a 6 month fixed term contract and we have a hybrid working environment so we require this person to be based in Sydney, NSW.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify Quality Issues that can range from defects in the products and systems through to improvements that should be made to the development process.
- Requirements Review
- Design Review
- Testing Notes (Zephyr)
- Code Review where feasible
- Peer Testing
- Exploratory Testing
- Test automation
Report and Manage Quality Issues that can be raised in several forums, including but not limited to Jira, Confluence, Teams and conversations.
- Recording these issues and ensuring the appropriate people have visibility and ownership.
- Ensuring the backlog and prioritisation of the issues are well managed.
REQUIREMENTS
You will have 5+ years of experience with multiple technologies, including:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks in a Node.js, Android platform
- Implement Node.js libraries for Test Automation (ex-playwright, cucumber)
- Writing automated tests (UI, API, etc..) using JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with CICD tools (Gitlab, Jenkins)
- Ability to learn new testing tools and good practices to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Previous experience programming in Node, Golang or knowledge of AWS cloud services like EC2, EKS, and ECS would also be of interest to us.
- Must have experience working on large-scale projects and handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
