Based in Western Sydney, this manufacturing company has a diverse range of products and are created by a team of highly experienced formulators with naturopathy, nutrition and chemistry backgrounds. Our client operates a state of the art R&D creative centre to produce an extensive range of products for both Australia and international markets.
The Senior R&D Chemist will conduct bench lab work to develop new formulations and scale up the manufacturing process. You will need to have experience in complementary medicine in various formats like solid dose (tablets, capsules, powders) and liquid dose.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct research on current industry trends, consumer needs, and regulatory requirements for complementary medicine products.
- Develop new formulations and optimise existing ones using various techniques.
- Perform laboratory experiments, testing, and analysis to evaluate the quality, stability, efficacy, and safety of the products.
- Prepare technical reports, documents, and specifications for the products.
- Collaborate with other departments (manufacturing, quality control, marketing, & reg affairs) to ensure the successful launch and maintenance of the products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems related to the products or processes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry or Engineering
- Technical knowledge in formulation & product development of pharmaceutical and complementary medicine
- Experience in technical reporting and documentation management
- Understanding of IP & regulatory requirements and standards
- Experience with project management
- Effective analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills and excellent team player
