Description
- Extend a warm and welcoming greeting to all visitors, volunteers, and clients who enter our space.
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries with patience, empathy, and professionalism, connecting callers with the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain the reception area, keeping it tidy, organised, and reflective of our nonprofit's values.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and room reservations, supporting the scheduling needs of staff and volunteers.
- Collaborate with our administrative team to provide support with tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence.
- Handle sensitive information and inquiries with the utmost confidentiality and discretion, respecting the privacy of our clients and stakeholders.
- Support the training and mentor-ship of junior reception staff, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Serve as a liaison between visitors and our various programs, providing information, assistance, and referrals as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the visitor experience and improve our reception processes, contributing to our mission of inclusively and accessibility.
Profile
- 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer-facing role within a nonprofit or community organisation is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to serving others.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
