What You'll Be Doing
The Department of Academic Psychiatry at Royal North Shore Hospital is a part of the University of Sydney Northern Clinical School and part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health. It comprises a team of academics with a strong clinical research and teaching focus. The head of the department is the Professor of Academic Psychiatry. This position will assist the Professor of the Department of Academic Psychiatry by providing administrative and research duties relating to a number of projects.
The incumbent will be expected to coordinate research studies under the direction of the Professor of the Department of Academic Psychiatry. The position will involve the clinical and research assessment of patients and the organization of research procedures. The person in this position will also assist in the development of research protocols and the conduct of research in a clinic setting. In addition, the role will involve clinical data compilation and sophisticated statistical analysis and synthesis. The position will also encompass duties such as writing of grant applications and managing the publication of research.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria

- Holds a degree in psychology or relevant science degree.
- Experience in psychological research and in managing research projects.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Suite programs, including Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical analyses and sound experience using SPSS or a similar package.
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing materials for published scientific outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
