Access thePLEASE NOTE: Multiple positions are available for this role, including permanent and fixed-term temporary opportunities.In this role you will leverage your ability to quickly acquire knowledge of resilience action planning and exceptional stakeholder engagement experience to:
- Support stakeholders in the planning, design, development and implementation of locally led and owned Resilience and Recovery plans, and use sound judgement in determining when and how to provide ongoing assistance.
- Identify resilience, recovery and risk planning constraints and engage early with the team to develop reasonable risk mitigation strategies.
- Deliver training to improve stakeholder knowledge of end-to-end disaster funding arrangements including Commonwealth government funding programs and navigating QRA's MaRS application for funding submissions.
- Build and maintain stakeholder capability in preparedness for additional capacity demands before, during and after significant disaster events.
- Represent QRA at key working groups including State, District and Local Functional Recovery and Resilience Groups and Local Disaster Management Groups and ensure continued familiarity and knowledge of contemporary Commonwealth, State, District and Local disaster management and Recovery policies, frameworks, and networks.
- Support other QRA work areas in the delivery of education and specialist knowledge to build stakeholder disaster preparedness capability.
- Build collaborative internal relationships through the sharing of knowledge and experience as part of a wider team of multi-disciplinary specialists.
