We’re looking for somebody who is an enthusiastic self-starter to join the Risk and Business Continuity Team at DHA.
About Your Team:
The position is located within Strategic Governance, which is part of the Governance and Communication branch. Governance and Communication branch is responsible for facilitating and administering compliance with DHA's legislative requirements and overarching governance frameworks, as well as all communication and media activities.
Your Contribution:
This role will assist the Assistant Director to drive risk management initiatives, manage an internal audit program with an outsourced service provider and, review and maintain DHA’s business continuity framework
In this role, you will also focus on sustainable continuous improvement initiatives, and enhancing organisational risk maturity. You will be passionate about driving innovative change to support and embed risk-based decision making and continuous improvement.
As the Senior Risk and Assurance, you will work under limited direction to support the Assistant Director and the Chief Risk Officer, this will include:
- maintaining DHA’s enterprise risk management framework.
- developing or providing input into the development of relevant policies related to assurance and risk management.
- assisting with or conducting the delivery of risk workshops or training.
- overseeing contract management and financial administration for service agreements with DHA’s internal audit service providers including, attending meetings, track audit coordinating documents and preparing quarterly reports for DHA’s Board Audit and Risk Committee.
- maintenance of DHA’s Business Continuity Policy, Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Plans; facilitation of business continuity exercises and providing advice to the business.
- contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems.
- coordinating and preparing documentation, reports, submissions, papers, and briefs on governance matters for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
