Their North Ryde Manufacturing site is at the forefront of this mission, and they are looking for a dedicated Senior Safety Lead to join the team.
About the role:
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the North Ryde Manufacturing site's safety, health, and environmental efforts. Under the guidance of the HSE Lead, you'll work alongside other members of the safety team while also taking the lead on essential HSE projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a sustainable risk management framework, adhering to global standards and best practices.
- Oversee the SHE Contractor Management system implementation to enhance safety and efficiency, offering valuable recommendations for further improvements.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health programs and take effective actions.
- Assess and identify improvement possibilities in Chemical Management to minimise the risk of pollution events.
- Develop and conduct SHE-related training programmes to ensure a well-informed and safety-conscious workforce.
To excel in this role, you will need to possess:
- A tertiary or formally recognised qualification in occupational health and safety, with a minimum of WHS Cert IV and Diploma.
- You must have experience in end to end project management. Including scheduling, stakeholder engagement, budgets and roll out.
- A sound understanding of relevant SHE legislation, industry practices, and company standards and expectations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and people skills for all levels of the organisation.
- Experience in developing and facilitating SHE-related training programs.
- High motivation, energy, and resourcefulness, with good self-awareness of strengths, opportunities, and role responsibilities.
This role is front-facing and involves on-site work with key stakeholders to support 24/7 manufacturing operations. This role does offer hybrid & flexible working, on site canteen and free parking as well as other benefits such as a free gym membership and one day off a month.
