Reporting directly to the People Culture and Wellbeing Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the safety landscape of their organisation.
About the role:
- Devise strategic Work Health Safety (WHS) strategies tailored to activities and risks, fostering a forward-looking approach.
- Oversee, monitor, and refine WHS management systems to encourage continuous enhancement.
- Offer insightful recommendations to elevate safety and wellbeing within their state-of-the-art facilities.
- Uphold and enhance WHS Management Systems, implementing a risk-based approach to all research activities.
- Advise on harm elimination or minimization for new and amended Scientific Research Projects.
- Possess a tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- Bring a minimum of 5 years' experience in a health and safety role to the table.
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of WHS Legislation, Regulatory requirements, and Management Systems.
- Showcase excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Exhibit the ability to assess and prioritise WHS and compliance risks.
- Leverage strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
