Senior Scheduler/Planner - Studies
Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
Fortescue is currently seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler/Planner to work with the Studies team. This role will be Perth-based and offered on a Monday to Friday roster.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Provide planning support across multiple schedules, analyse the impacts of schedule variances and make recommendations to the Study Lead. Ability to produce reports addressing Critical Path, Schedule Risk, Budget Forecast and schedule management activities to the Study Lead.
- Develop and maintain multiple schedules for integration into the Studies Portfolio Schedule. Each schedule shall be developed consistent with project scheduling features to include cost estimates and schedule networking (predecessors/ successors).
- Ability to alter schedules and dependencies as changes occur and annotate changes for performance monitoring.
- Perform coordination of cross-functional departments to identify project issues, determine critical tasks and their interdependencies, monitor action items, and work with the Study Lead and technical teams to ensure resolution.
- Coordinate project schedules, tasks, meetings, and updates. Scribe and issue minutes, and efficient distribution of reports.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Technical qualification(s) in a relevant Engineering discipline, or proven ability as a Scheduler/Planner
- Proficiency in the use of Primavera or similar scheduling software
- Experience in a mine planning environment is advantageous but not essential
- Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organisational and time management skills
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including a strong ability to creatively communicate the schedule to a wide range of customers
