About the Role
Clipchamp is looking for a Senior SEO Manager to join our growth marketing team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing SEO strategies to deliver growth, engagement, and active users to our websites and web apps.
You will oversee the technical aspects of SEO, such as site structure, crawlability, indexing, and performance as well as the content & localization strategies.
To be successful in this role, you should have a growth mindset as well as a solid understanding of SEO best practices, tools, and trends. More importantly, you should be comfortable prioritizing SEO efforts to meet our overarching business goals. It is important that you enjoy working across functions and that you are comfortable liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
You should have strong analytical skills & have the capacity to share findings and insights with the wider business.
You will work closely with the SEO team, engineering, product, design, and content writers to ensure constructive collaboration across all functions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of proven experience in SEO, preferably in-house
- Strong knowledge of SEO fundamentals, such as how search engines work, crawl budget, site architecture, URL structure, etc.
- Proficient in SEO tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Keyword Surfer, etc.
- Excellent content writing and editing skills, with the ability to optimize content for SEO and user intent
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and how they affect SEO
- Experience with structured data markup and schema.org
- Experience with SEO testing and experimentation, such as A/B testing, redirects, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
- Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for SEO
- People management skills, such as delegation, feedback, coaching, and conflict resolution

Responsibilities
- Design SEO strategy across products and webapps and assist with documenting, researching, and executing efforts alongside engineering, product and content
- Ensure SEO efforts strongly align with business goals and target audiences
- Identify opportunities to leverage existing work, assets & talent to scale SEO efforts
- Perform keyword research and analysis to optimize content and landing pages
- Inform the implementation of technical SEO elements, such as meta tags, canonical tags, robots.txt, sitemaps, etc.
- Monitor and report on SEO performance, using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking to identify gaps and opportunities
- Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices
- Contextualize SEO impact of initiatives across products
- Guide & support program managers tasked with executing content strategies
- Be an open minded & approachable and willing to share knowledge with the rest of the team
- Be flexible and ensure to always prioritize business impact when driving SEO initiatives
