Our client is seeking a Senior Server Standard Operating Environment Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining and enhancing their ICT capabilities while safeguarding the security of day-to-day technical operations.
End-to-End Microsoft Environment Support: You’ll be responsible for maintaining and supporting Services Australia’s Microsoft environment, collaborating closely with partner agencies to ensure seamless operations.
Third-Level User Support: As a Senior Engineer, you’ll provide expert technical assistance to users and manage personal computing devices, resolving complex issues efficiently.
Project Support: You’ll contribute to project success by providing technical support during build, testing, and solution deployment activities. Your expertise across a wide range of Microsoft technologies will be invaluable.
Software Maintenance and Testing: Monitor, fine-tune, and maintain ICT software components. Rigorous system testing ensures optimal performance.
Infrastructure Consultation: Collaborate with the infrastructure team to design, procure, and deploy hardware and related assets. Your insights will shape our technology landscape.
Technical Operations: Perform critical technical tasks related to ICT solutions, ensuring stability and efficiency.
Monitoring and Escalation: Conduct daily monitoring activities, promptly escalating any issues that impact policy, performance, or service quality.
Disaster Recovery Planning: Contribute to backup and disaster recovery plans, executing them when necessary to minimise disruptions.
Problem Management: Investigate and resolve root causes of technical issues, implementing effective solutions.
Change Management: Execute technical changes in a controlled manner, minimising risks.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues and implement business solutions in a timely manner.
What you'll need to succeed
3-5 years of experience in a Microsoft solutions design/engineering role.
Broad technical skills across various Microsoft products, including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows 10, Office, SCCM, Teams, and Intune.
Experience in maintaining and supporting end users
3+ years experience working in SOE migrations
3+ years experience in server management
