We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our Technology team.

About the Role

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer you will be responsible for the establishment, implementation, execution, measurement and continual improvement of HR Service Delivery including HR Case Management through the delivery of an effective and optimised tool set that is resilient and supported. Being responsible for the entire HR Service Delivery software development lifecycle in a green-fields implementation you will analyse the needs and then design, test and develop software in order to meet them. 

This in turn empowers our service focused People and Culture team to consistently provide the best possible service to all customers. Additionally, as the Senior ServiceNow Developer you will provide mentorship and leadership to team members.

You will have strong problem-solving skills, a level of technical and functional capability together with business knowledge in the ServiceNow Platform Portfolio. The position requires strong communication, a good understanding of the Bunnings culture and a commitment to providing best service. 

What's involved:


As a Senior ServiceNow Developer you will:

  • Manage the ongoing maintenance/support of the HR Service Delivery module ensuring the timely resolution of all issues
  • Support the ServiceNow platform team when required
  • Assist in the development of business cases to support HRSD and ServiceNow Portfolio enhancements and upgrades
  • Manage both strategic and operational projects and subsequently provide regular status reporting on project-based activities
  • Oversee and produce test plans, implementation plans, and user guides in compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Deliver root-cause fixes to resolve application / solution issues
  • Participate in tender management and contract negotiation processes for the procurement and supply of Service Management, Case Management, Operations Management products and services 
  • Maintain and improve service quality through a constant cycle of monitoring and reporting on service performance and initiating actions to continuously improve service and productivity
  • Prepare and facilitate Service Level review

About You

You’ll bring significant ServiceNow experience (be an expert at operating the tool), be passionate about continuous improvement and can work collaboratively with cross functional teams. You will be experienced in working within a fast paced small agile team and be outcome driven.

Your experience working with ServiceNow will enable you to provide guidance on the best solutions to meet business requirements. You will love having variety in your role, operating in both a support function and be comfortable working across project work.

Your strong communication skills both written and verbal will enable you to understand stakeholder requirements as well as build strong relationships.

You’ll also need:

  • Current Certification in ServiceNow CSA
  • Accreditation in ServiceNow HRSD Foundations & ServiceNow HRSD Implementer
  • 5 - 8+ years in an administrative or system analysis role (or relevant Bunnings experience) using ServiceNow
  • Experience in implementing and supporting ServiceNow HR Case Management (HRCM) in an Enterprise environment
  • Experience providing excellent customer service through ITSM toolset delivery
  • Proficiency in JQuery, JavaScript, MySQL, PowerShell, Angular scripting languages
  • Experience in documenting and managing system changes
  • An Understanding of process optimization and automation
  • Experience with Mobile builder in ServiceNow would also be extremely desirable.
  • Advanced understanding of HR Case Management and IT Service Management principles and how they relate to Bunnings
  • Excellent problem solving and leadership skills
  • Experience working closely with agile teams to support them in adopting a DevOps culture and enable them to move towards continuous delivery as appropriate to their context. 
  • In-depth technical and/or functional knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform Portfolio and supported business processes
  • High analytical and/or application development skills
  • Knowledge of Tech processes and procedures for code management
  • Strong desire to keep up-to-date with developments in technology and apply it across the ServiceNow Platform Portfolio
  • Possesses strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Bug Life Cycle (BLC)
