Senior Site Boilermaker

Studio Steel is a family owned business on a huge growth trajectory.  Due to our reputation of delivering quality work safely and on-time we have a huge pipeline of won work to deliver for large builders across South East Queensland and we are searching for a Senior Site Boilermaker to join our Brisbane construction team as we continue our double-digit growth and expansion.

Secondly, let me tell you who we are searching for:

We are looking for a highly skilled and trade qualified boilermaker who can lead steel erection activities on commercial construction sites.

The key duties for this role include:

1. Provide Leadership to other boilermakers and riggers to erect commercial and industrial steel and metalwork projects from 1-100 tonnes.
2. Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings and 3D models
3. Sound site welding skills 
4. Basic rigger ticket, dogman and C6 crane tickets highly desirable - Or the willingness to undergo training to obtain
5. Excellent communication skills and confident talking with drafters, engineers, project managers etc. 
6. Represent our brand well!  You will be a key point of contact for our customers so we need a true professional who can problem solve and take ownership on a construction site.

The following competencies are required

1. Safety focused - this is our only non negotiable
2. Ability to perform all of the above key duties
3. Strong attention to detail - our game is one of millimetres
4. Excellent planning and problem solving skills

This role will be exclusively site based for projects largely across South East Queensland.  A full maintained company vehicle with fuel card, eToll and tools is provided.

Night and weekend work may be required to meet construction schedules and penalty rates will of course apply!
