The Role -
Take the lead role as Site Manager on a $35M project based in inner Melbourne.
This project kicks off in July so it is a fast moving recruitment process!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale construction projects, particularly in the laboratory or healthcare sector. This role requires excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site activities to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate the work of all site staff, subcontractors, and trades.
- Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards and complies with relevant regulations and specifications.
- Implement and enforce site safety plans, ensuring all personnel adhere to safety regulations.
- Monitor and control project expenses, ensuring the project stays within the allocated budget.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and providing regular progress updates inline with the Project and Construction Manager.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site to avoid project delays.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Site Manager on large-scale construction projects, with a preference for laboratory or healthcare facilities in Australia.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to excellence and innovation.
- Relevant certifications in construction management and safety (e.g., White Card)
