About the Role
The Senior Social Communications Officer is responsible for the development and implementation social media strategies and policies with the support of the Social Media Manager, in collaboration with stakeholders across diverse business areas, to support social media growth and the priorities of the Agency.
Key success factors are communication and marketing skills particularly in a Government Agency, attention to detail and the ability to provide expert advice and support to multiple stakeholders, including across varying government departments as required. The role requires the ability to effectively prioritise and execute deliverables in a high-pressure environment, under limited direction
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience developing and implementing communications strategies, tools and materials for a variety of audiences. (highly desirable)
- Tertiary qualifications or experience in communications or a related field, such as stakeholder engagement, public relations. (highly desirable)
- Experience in developing creative visual content to explain concepts and messages in an accessible manner.
The successful candidate will notionally be offered a 12month hourly rate contract at the APS6 level (dependant on experience). This position can be based in Sydney, Canberra, or Brisbane.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens will be considered for this vacancy.
