Critical Care – Trauma and Intensive Care

• Be part of the adult major trauma service and intensive care unit, in a team of Senior Social Workers in Critical Care.

• Full time ongoing (part time negotiable) based at the city campus.
• Flexible roster including weekends

• The Allied Health department provides a strong teamwork culture in both the professional teams and multi-disciplinary groups.

• Provide exemplary social work service and leadership across but not limited to the Critical Care stream.
• Provide compassionate and sensitive care to Critical Care consumers, including assessment, counselling, and support.
• Demonstrate your excellent communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff, and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services and information.
• Actively participate in Allied Health quality improvement initiatives and research.

• You have demonstrated acute hospital experience with a collaborative working style
• You have excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development for yourself and others.
• You are a qualified Social Worker, eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers with at least 7 years’ experience.
• You value working with supportive and dedicated health professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
