We are looking for a motivated and detail-orientated person to join our team on a permanent basis, based in the Brisbane (Australia) office.
We have a role available for a talented Senior Software Engineer who thrives on writing solutions to complex problems. You will be writing software that will be used every day to scan patients reliably and safely. This role is a part of the Product Development team at Magnetica. You’ll be working in a team consisting of MRI physicists, electrical and electronics engineers, MRI system engineers, radiographers, and other experienced Software Engineers.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can quickly pick up concepts in complex domains, such as MRI
- Has an inquisitive nature and is not afraid to dive deep to find the root cause of a problem
- Has skills and senior-level experience delivering software using .NET/C#
- Has strong foundations in computer science – you can write efficient, defect-free code and follow Software Engineering best practices
- Has excellent communication skills, the ability to lead by example, and be open to mentoring juniors on the team
- In addition to being a highly skilled Software Engineer, you are friendly, approachable and can build relationships with others in the team. You’re a great listener and understand that everyone has a different skill set and perspective.
Of added interest as far as experience, skills or capability would be:
- Writing software for Class II or Class III medical devices
- Linear algebra, algorithms development
- C/C++ embedded software
- Experience working with MRI or other imaging medical devices
- An understanding of the relevant standards for software in a medical device (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971)
