What You Will Do: As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing complex software applications that meet our clients' needs. You'll bring your expertise to tackle diverse challenges, from conceptualising and executing project designs to leading development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- 3 - 5 years of experience working in the software development industry.
- Develop and maintain scalable, robust, and high-performance systems and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure code quality, organization, and automation.
- Lead project teams, mentor junior engineers, and conduct code reviews.
- Stay up-to-date with new technology trends and best practices.
This is a full-time position with standard working hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is possible that hours' flexibility may be required occasionally to meet project deadlines or for the maintenance of critical system components.
Education & Qualifications:
- Proven industry experience in software development.
- In-depth understanding of computer science fundamentals.
Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience with .NET, C#, and ASP.NET.
- Proficiency in SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including Timescale & PostGIS extensions.
- Experience with front-end and back-end development, including HTML5, TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS knowledge.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP, HTTP, gRPC, WebSockets, and ZeroMQ.
- Ability to optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Strong understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Key Requirements:
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and effectively lead a team.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
- A track record of leading successful projects.
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with cloud services, such as Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices.
- Previous work with Kafka, Redis, or similar technologies.
- GPS tracking system experience is a plus.
