We're looking for a skilled Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team, where you help to ensure the solutions we build are scalable, stable, testable and easily maintainable. We're dedicated to refining our tools and processes continuously to deliver top-notch products and enhance team quality and productivity.
You will be collaborating with other talented developers to build robust systems and user-friendly interfaces. You'll write clean, efficient, and elegant code while advocating modern development practices. In this role you will be participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture reviews. Our goal is to constantly innovate and enhance our products, staying ahead of the curve and delivering exactly what our customers need, often before they realise it themselves.
What you'll be doing:
You'll have the opportunity to explore different parts of several products based on your skillset and preference. We have a game-changing roadmap of current and new products and projects in the pipeline with many exciting development opportunities such as:
Engaging with our flagship Hospitality platform and Java services, where responsibilities include enhancing the existing application, implementing novel features, and integrating new functionalities using Java.
Developing new microservices with Java or Node.js and Typescript, making the most of AWS services.
Working within a highly distributed domain driven architecture while utilising Kafka as a streaming event processor.
Expanding features through React and actively participating in our in-house design system.
Spearheading API development with the Lightspeed platform and other third-party integrators.
Exploring blockchain technology, offering opportunities to work on a platform rooted in blockchain technology.
Engaging in planning and architecture, encompassing activities such as estimation, collaboration with Product teams, and establishing MVP (Minimum Viable Product). * Continuous learning and teaching through avenues like technical talks, peer reviews, research, meetups, mentorship for new hires, and fostering the growth of junior developers.

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:
Previous experience as a Software Developer including both successes and failures (“scars”), which help you make better decisions.
Proven experience in various Java ecosystem frameworks to build Microservices development.
Familiarity with design patterns like OOD, MVC, and adherence to SOLID principles.
Capability to guide and educate fellow Engineers within the teams.
