Please note, we are open to candidates from all over Australia.As a Senior Software Engineer - Search and Recommendations, you will help customers find what they are looking for anyplace, anytime, anywhere.You will

• Drive an engineering team to develop delivery goals within agreed timelines
• Facilitate agile scrum practices within the team, offer support to delivery managers in defining timelines and project requirements
• Ensure the team is developing software quality in-line with the broader teams' expectations
• Facilitate and govern peer reviews and testing standards
• Empower and develop the engineering team's skills
• Facilitate training, ensure all engineers are meeting needs and gaining help to close gaps
• Grow a culture that elicits a high-performing team and a fun working environment

You haveExtensive experience in:

• Java development
• Spring / Spring Boot
• Microservices
• API Integration
• Cloud technologies with Azure framework highly regarded
• Docker / Kubernetes
• Adopting a CI/CD Pipeline mindset
• Code version control management tools
• Unit/integration testing frameworks
• Service performance testing and optimisations

Desirable Experience:

• API client tools i.e Postman
• Data processing with Python, pyspark like tools
• Willingness to learn/get exposure to other systems and technologies
• Good exposure to Agile Scrum working environments
• Experience working in large scale projects and heavy-traffic platforms
• Ability to drive and enforce Software Engineering practices
• Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
