My client is one of the top engineering firms in the electrical utilities industry. They have been operating in this space for a number of years now and have built one of the best reputations in the state. They have an endless pipeline of work for electrical engineering, design and project management services. They have recently been expanding into the renewable energy space with a focus on contributing to the nation's energy transition.
Your new role
As the Senior Solar Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading this brand-new division of the business and become the subject-matter expert when it comes to all things renewable energy. This opportunity will allow you to have a significant and positive impact on the establishment of a growing team and influence the long-term direction and growth of the business. You will be responsible for the Engineering scope of works & Stakeholder management on Commercial PV, Secondary Protection, BESS, and EV Charger projects.
What you'll need to succeed
Hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Have a Minimum of 3 years' experience in the solar industry (5 years+ preferred)
Competent with AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or PowerCad
Competent with PV Systems, Helioscope etc.
Competent with secondary protection design and hardware
CEC Accredited Designer
Strong and in-depth understanding of AS electrical and Solar PV installation standards (AS3000, 3008, 4777.1, 5033, 5139)
Knowledge of DNSP processes in Australia
In-depth technical knowledge and understanding of a wide array of PV systems and their market applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
