Monash Health in conjunction with Alfred Health, is excited to announce the key role of Senior Solution Architect
Monash Health are working in partnership with Alfred Health (as part of the South-East Metro Health Service Partnership) to reconsider how Pathology services are delivered as a shared entity, in context of wider pathology reforms across Victoria.
Underpinning this service is the establishment of a Laboratory Information System and the various respective technology components. The Senior Solution Architect will join a team responsible for the Laboratory Information System (LIS) implementation and contribute to considerations for any corporate digital services and will support the transition for the Shared Pathology service.
This is a priority project for Alfred Health and Monash Health, which relies on the delivery of other digital transformation projects to be successful. The Senior Solution Architect will be a Monash Health appointment and report to the Technology Project Manager, whilst working in close collaboration with the Project team.
About the Role:
The Senior Solution Architect role provides technical direction for projects from concept to completion, ensuring solution design meets business requirements.
To be a successful candidate for this role, you need to have a balanced mix of skills covering: technologies, health sector knowledge, communication, stakeholder management, leadership, problem-solving, decision making and negotiation skills.
This role requires a professional that has had experience in various technical-based roles such as architect, consultant, project management, product development, support and automation. Experience with waterfall and agile delivery methodologies and an understanding of how and when to work in either
Key Result Areas:
Developing reference architecture documentation for architectural domains.
Collaborate with organisational stakeholders to identify solution requirements.
Lead the definition of the Solution Architecture and deliver conceptual and detailed designs to resolve the business requirement.
Close collaboration on project implementation with project managers, business stakeholders and delivery teams.
Continually look for opportunities to leverage and reuse existing IT capabilities, services and solutions where appropriate.
Identify and investigate opportunities to utilize and integrate emerging technologies to provide cost effective flexible solutions.
Assist the Shared Pathology Project team and associated Business Stakeholders in the development of business cases and value propositions to support the proposed solutions.
Ensure alignment with the TOGAF Architecture Development Method.
About You:
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional/business experience
Experience working in complex environments
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Certification in a Project Management methodology (preferable PRINCE2)
Demonstrated 3-5 years’ experience as a Senior Solution Architect
Strong understanding of the Cerner product suite and methodologies
Demonstrated experience in identifying, researching, evaluating and recommending new and emerging technologies
Strong enterprise applications background, with an ability to grasp the big picture
Strong technical understanding of Pathology technology, including LIS infrastructure & associated interconnected systems (middleware, analysers etc.)
Project planning and specification skills, together with problem solving and analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Previous experience in project teams using agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
Strong technical background in Health Level 7, Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources, and other healthcare integration standards
