Senior Spatial Analyst

The Senior Spatial Analyst role provides spatial services to a wide range of stakeholders, with a focus on strategic land use planning. The role provides high quality spatial analysis and cartographic output including the production of print-quality maps, working maps, and maps for the web. The Senior Spatial Analyst will foster effective partnerships and networks with peers to assist with producing briefs for maps, and some editing and creation of GIS data to use in maps.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative team, leveraging the power of ArcGIS and Cartographic tools across both 2D and 3D spatial datasets.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
Mandatory
* Experience using the ArcGIS suite of technologies (including but not limited to ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online)
Desirable
* A relevant qualification in Spatial, Computer Science or Urban Planning.
* A sound understanding of the Vicmap Foundational datasets
* Ability to present maps/graphical information clearly, accurately, and attractively.
* Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
* Proven ability to query, report and analyse data in enterprise databases and create automated workflows and processes
Highly Regarded
* Experience working with Avenza MAPublisher
* Experience working with 3D spatial technologies.
* Experience using Python or FME including the use of scripts to solve spatial problems.
* An understanding of the Planning / Urban Planning domain
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne.
