An experienced Speech Pathologist is sought for a temporary Senior position within the Neuro Rehabilitation arm of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Speech Pathology Service from 24/6/24 up to 31/3/2025.

What you'll be doing
This senior role coordinates the inpatient neurology, rehabilitation and neuro outpatient arm of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Speech Pathology service. Additionally they lead VFSS clinic and provide a monthly Parkinson’s disease clinic service. The role has clinical and supervisory expectations and works closely within the leadership team of the service.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- A bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience, inclusive of experience as a Level 2 Speech Pathologist or equivalent.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the management of neurological communication impairments in a rehabilitation setting.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the management of neurological and swallowing disorders, including videofluoroscopy, FEES, swallow rehabilitation and LSVT.
- Experience in management of staff/students and/or leading Speech Pathology teams.
