To provide an excellent standard of high-level Speech Pathology assessment and treatment for communication and swallowing impairments to patients within all relevant services, adult and paediatric.
Provide senior leadership including optimisation of patient/client care delivery, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of staff. Registration: Eligible for practicing membership to Speech Pathology AustraliaSelection Criteria * Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology that provides eligibility for full membership to Speech Pathology Australia with experience at level 2 or higher.

  • Advanced skills and demonstrated knowledge and competency in the management of swallowing and communication disorders in an acute adult caseload, including instrumental assessment.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direct clinical supervision, displaying excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Actively practices the principles of Evidence Based Practice and engages in professional development for relevant clinical areas with strong experience in quality management or research.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision and training of staff and/or students.
  • An understanding of service co-ordination, evaluation, planning and development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the NSW CORE values. A valid NSW drivers licence.
