What you'll be doing
This position is responsible for providing high quality Speech Pathology clinical and professional services including, but not limited to specialist Stroke, Rehabilitation and Geriatric related services to all relevant parties within Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD).

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
Registration: Eligible for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia
Selection Criteria
- Advanced competency demonstrated in the management of adults with swallowing disorders including the provision of objective assessment.
- Advanced competency demonstrated in the management of adults with communication impairments across the continuum of acute, subacute and Rehabilitation settings.
- Demonstrated and recent experience in a tertiary hospital working in the area stroke and Rehabilitation managing complex highly acute patients including a thorough understanding of patient flow and patient safety in the hospital setting.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Actively practices the principles of Evidence Based Practice and engages in professional development for relevant clinical areas with strong experience in quality management or research.
- Experience in the provision of clinical supervision and training of staff and/or students and advanced time management and organisation skills.
- An understanding of service co-ordination, evaluation, planning and development and any experience leading a team of Speech Pathologists.
- Current drivers licence valid within Australia
