This position will be required to provide services at Gladstone Hospital and Rockhampton Hospital, as well as visits to rural facilities including Emerald Hospital, Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service, Biloela Hospital and Capricorn Coast Hospital and other facilities as services are expanded.
Other CQHHS facilities include: Biloela and Moura Hospitals, Theodore, Woorabinda, Baralaba, Mount Morgan, Springsure and Blackwater Multipurpose Health Services.

Become part of a great team committed to delivering great care to Central Queenslanders and enjoying life. The position of Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Specialist is to assist the Clinical Directors in:
* Ensuring that Specialist Anaesthesia services provided by Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) are of the highest standard and delivered in an efficient and effective manner given available resources.
* The education and supervision of trainees, junior medical staff, medical students and other health practitioners including Nursing staff.
* The day-to-day management of Anaesthesia services including active participation in patient safety, clinical audit, investigation and management of adverse clinical incidents and complaints, research, and service planning activities.
The range of services delivered to Central Queenslanders continues to grow as does the Anaesthesia service. We now need more specialists to support our delivery of great care. These positions provide an opportunity for newly qualified Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCAs) to consolidate a consultant role in a supportive environment.
The provision of Anaesthesia services for Central Queensland (CQ) Health is provided as one service, multiple sites. In order to meet service needs the Specialist will be required to provide clinical services at any facility within the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, in line with the clinical services capability of that facility.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have:
* Mandatory qualification/s: MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).
* Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program of appropriate College.

Total remuneration value of up to $427,113 p.a. is comprised of:
* A salary between $204,206 - $258,910 p.a.
