We are seeking an experienced hands on Senior Steel - Fabrication & Manufacturing expertto support the production of projects in our Albury workshop. This is a senior crew / leading hand position
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Trade qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years proven experience
- Able to do TIG / MIG work (Stainless and Alloys highly regarded)
- Fabrication
- Must be able to read technical drawings
- Applicants must have or be prepared to obtain a White Card
- Must follow company safety policies and rules
- Workplace Health & Safety management experience
- Ability to produce high quality work and have an eye for detail
- Ability to forward plan, forecast, and problem-solve issues
- Hands on leadership & management experience
- Agile and adaptive mindset, able to cope with change, unknowns and a client facing design & manufacture process
- A successful candidate will have high energy, be self-motivated and take ownership of their role
- Experience of prior leadership positions
Some of your responsibilities within this role will include but not limited to:
- Supervising and organising the steel fabrication & manufacturing activities of a small team
- You will be hands on, on a day to day basis
- Ensuring safe workplace practices are followed at all times
- Give feedback and participate in a continuous improvement mindset
- Collaborate with design team and project managers
- Attend & conduct briefings, meetings and toolbox talks
- Participating in and conduct training
- Workshop inductions, skills assessment & performance evaluations
- Occasional travel for installing projects on location
- Learning other skills & assisting team members in a variety of tasks

Some of your other responsibilities within this role will include but are not limited to:
- Manage effectively workshop stores inventory and stock.
- Ensure all maintenance works internal & external are completed to safety standards
- Guiding labour assist team members in preparation tasks
- Helping out with other aspects of the workshop when required, including yard work, cleaning & general labour tasks etc.

Wotbox Operational Requirements
- Wotbox operates a Drug and Alcohol free area given the nature of the manufacturing. As a part of this we have in place a companywide random drug and alcohol testing which is conducted by an independent supplier.
