About the Role:
In your new role as Senior Structural Designer, you will develop designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures and plant arrangements with minimum supervision.
You will work independently on design projects and may direct the technical work of others.
Your responsibilities will include:
- preparation of complex designs from which detailed scale models and/or construction drawings are completed, assisting in constructing detailed scale models.
- assign tasks accordingly for other designers/drafters.
- ensure compliance with approved design standards in own work and by those assigned, to provide quality design.
- review and check calculations, design models, drawings and design documents prepared by assigned designers/drafters.
- work with designers in other disciplines to arrange overall design and technical requirements.
- other duties as required.
- specialized courses in drafting, design and engineering practices.
- extensive experience in design and drafting and demonstrated skill in a lead role or recognized courses in the directing of personnel.
- sound knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, graphic arts, reading of drawings, and reproduction methods used by the discipline.
- familiar with both structural steel and concrete foundation design and drafting.
- skill in reading, interpreting and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups.
