How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
The Senior Subdivision Officer position provides subdivision services for the assessment and determination of subdivision permit applications and associated street numbering and naming.
What you will bring…
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
- Tertiary qualifications in land surveying or planning and/or substantial experience working with Victoria’s subdivision, planning and land tenure legislation and processes, preferably within a local government body.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work closely with others; to mediate, negotiate and resolve conflicts and problems.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work in a largely-autonomous environment.
- Ability to analyse and interpret a wide range of information and issues of varying complexity, including land tenure and title documents.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and contribute to the team.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Windows based applications including Word, Excel and Access and AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting packages.
