The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role
The Information and Technology Services (ITS) team are responsible for the adoption, support and maintenance of DGS systems and technology and their use by customers and the public.
This role will be the starting point for level 2 support and a key member of the State Resource Information Management System (SRIMS) operational team. The SRIMS support team are responsible for the management and support of SRIMS which is a whole of government system used to manage the key financial outputs for the State – e.g., the Victorian State Budget and the Departmental Annual Financial Reports.

To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work proactively to provide advice and support to customers, colleagues, and service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to think logically and apply that thinking to tasks.
- An understanding of the customer service requirements of the position and a demonstrated record of strong commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team to manage workload and priorities.
- Experience with ServiceNow or a similar ITSM ticketing system.
- Experience with Level 2/3 support of an enterprise level software platform for users at all levels of the organisational hierarchy.
- Experience in the Oracle cloud environment and knowledge of financial systems or processes would be highly regarded
