We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Windows environment and possess excellent problem-solving skills. This position involves providing technical support to end-users and ensuring that all IT systems are functioning efficiently.
This role specifically will be full-time onsite at a client site in Melbourne CBD, with easy public transport access.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily technical operations working closely with relevant Application support teams and provide Level 2 application support for both GxP and Non-GxP systems
- Responsible for development and implementation of I&T projects that enable the organization's business processes.
- Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
- Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Liaising with team members, management, vendors and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to standard.
- Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.
- Analysing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements.
- Maintains knowledge of business processes across multiple functional areas and provides technical guidance to the project team.
- Ensures compliance with cQMS and I&T policies and procedures.
- Guides and advises the project team and less experienced staff.
- Assistance with System Validation and Change Management. This will include testing, documentation etc.
- Implement instrument integrations, printer integrations and application integrations as required.
- Work closely with relevant Application support teams.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in AWS and similar cloud technologies
• Experience in a regulated environment is preferred, including Laboratory and Manufacturing Execution Systems
• Experience in system integrations and interacting with software API
• Good understanding of Agile software methodologies, ITIL framework and processes
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
• Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to build professional relationships with staff and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
