Hey You!Are you a passionate about supporting those with complex disabilities and mental illness? genU is looking for a Senior Support Coordinator to join our longstanding, purpose driven and values-based organisation to make a real difference to people’s lives on a daily basis.
As a Senior Support Coordinator, you will provide high level and complex plan implementation support to people with a disability and/or mental illness participating in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
You will provide support coordination within a specialised framework necessitated by specific high-level risks in the participant’s situation. Support is time limited and focuses on addressing barriers and reducing complexity in the support environment, while assisting the participant to connect with supports and building capacity and resilience.
You will join and be supported by a passionate team of experience Support Coordinators and have access to a range of networking opportunities.
This is a Full-time, ongoing position based in Geelong, VIC.
A competitive remuneration package is on offer from $93,000 per year + super + salary packaging.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience working with people with disability and/or mental illness
- Demonstrated ability to network with local service providers
- Demonstrated experience in support planning, working within a person centred framework
- Sound organisational and administrative abilities
You will also meet the below essential requirements:
- Higher level qualification, including Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, other allied heath, developmental educator, social or health science professions
- Must have or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Must have completed or be willing to complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' orientation module.
