Are you a passionate Sustainability Consultant looking to make an impact?
Tired of churning through Greenstar and NatHERS reports?
Want to help Australia's commercial real estate sector reduce its embodied carbon?
Then this role could be for you!
Our client is a specialist mechanical engineering practice that specialises in premium commercial projects - new build, fit out and base build.
They are involved throughout the project lifecycle, often working as a client advisor coming in at the feasibility stage, conducting due diligence and lifecycle analysis, design, system selection and working alongside the contractors when it comes to commissioning - and believe they have a lot to offer on the sustainability front.
Many of their clients are big names within the commercial real estate world who are big on decarbonisation, and exploring how they can reduce the embodied carbon and associated environmental impact of their portfolios.
Our client can see huge potential here, and with an existing order book of work, are recruiting for a Senior Sustainability consultancy that can help them deliver on their client's ambitious sustainability targets.
They are looking for an experienced Sustainability Consultant who can help their clients calculate and report on their embodied carbon emissions and make design or system recommendations to help them reduce them. The ideal candidate will be proficient in energy modelling (any NCC-compliant software is fine), have experience in carbon reporting, accounting and calculating scope 3 emissions, and hold NABERS accreditations.
This position would either suit an experienced senior consultant who has hit the glass ceiling in their current company and is looking to take on more responsibility, or an associate engineer looking for a company that can offer them flexibility to work on their terms, and eventually become an owner in the business.
There will be support and mentorship from the owners of the business, future ownership opportunities, and a clear opportunity for you to build a team around you.
This type of opportunity doesn't come around too often!
