Senior System Engineer

Must be based in Sydney, must hold a valid Australian Visa either Citizen or PR.

Reporting to the Senior Manager IT Operations, the Senior Systems Engineer – Identity & Cloud is responsible for:
• Partnering with IT colleagues and business stakeholders to define, design & execute Identity & Cloud infrastructure solutions / strategy to meet business needs – with consideration of existing constraints but with a context of future state.
• Successful implementation and testing of those infrastructure solutions, either personally or overseeing internal or external resources to deliver those solutions.
• Performing level 3 & 4 infrastructure support and administration tasks
Senior System Engineer – Identity & Cloud is responsible for understanding our organization’s  current Identity management, Cloud hosting, O365 architecture, standards, future technology plans thoroughly, and recommending appropriate adoption of emerging trends according to their research.
As a key member within the IT Department, the role is responsible for delivering a professional level of service, and maintaining productive and efficient relationships with the business stakeholders.

Responsible for forming trusted relationships with key IT and business stakeholders to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with them and understand relevant business drivers.
• Responsible for the evaluation, design and documentation of Identity and
Cloud alternatives to meet those needs.
• Responsible for the implementation of approved solutions including
integration into the existing architecture and documentation, and providing
oversight to internal / external resources for the implementation of these
solutions where required.
• Responsible for collaborating with our International brands within the O365,
Cloud hosting and identity management areas to ensure we are across all
upcoming changes / projects.

Architecture Management
• Analyse and provide reviews on the magnitudes of shortcomings and
shortages in Infrastructure, approaches to mitigate risks, resolve security
alerts and pre-empt possible adverse outcomes of identified weaknesses.
• Work with our International brands on global projects and architect the
solution.

IT Operations
• Responsible for on premise and cloud server infrastructure operational
control and management.
• Responsible for technical maintenance Identity management and privileged
access management solutions.
• Implementing and maintaining cloud backup solutions.
• Maximise server, virtualisation performance by monitoring performance,
troubleshooting server issues, scheduling upgrades.

Problem Management
• Responsible for assisting with an efficient third and fourth level infrastructure
support function where required.
• Responsible for performing root cause analysis, and issuing
recommendations for improvement and creating a related change request.

Incident Management
• Responsible for the escalation of incidents through functional and
hierarchical escalation processes.
Availability and Capacity Management
• Responsible for the availability and capacity of IT solutions to support the
business needs.

Required
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience engineering experience in an Enterprise, in a senior IT support role.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards with proven experience in IT Infrastructure planning and development.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in managing various aspects of Azure and O365 covering all resource types and proper security of these assets.
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft client products that tie into the cloud. Most notably online products for Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Workspace One.
• Strong technical knowledge of managing Azure and Azure AD Infrastructure environment.
• Strong skills with Identity Access Management, Priviliged Access Management and Cloud Solutions.
• Strong technical knowledge of implementing and managing Microsoft O365 applications.
