IT Support Team Lead to join the Infrastructure Services team in Sydney with significant experience in people management and leading teams. In this role, you will manage highly complex levels of escalated problems, involving a broad range of technical issues. You will ensure you understand end user needs and challenges in crisis, with the objective of resolving the crisis, helping to drive desired end user outcomes.In addition to technical depth, the
IT Support Team Lead is expected to have solid domain knowledge, intense curiosity, and a demonstrated ability to make progressive and thoughtful strategic proposals and influence senior decision makers in a rapidly changing environment. In this role, you will oversee crisis situations, determine systemic issues and report to the stakeholders. The
Team Lead will lead by example and will set the tone by creating an appropriate sense of urgency and following through on promises. You will assess and understand business impact, create an action plan and assign specific owners to ensure clear accountability and deadlines.
What we're looking for- 10+ years’ experience in supporting office technologies with at least 3 years of experience in leading an IT Support Team in a large global organisation
- Excellent organisational, leadership, decision making and communication skills
- Outcome oriented, self-driven, with the ability to plan forward
- Crafting a consultative approach to developing the team's needs and goals
- Strong ability to motivate people and be a trusted team player
- Experience in mentoring junior staff members and developing teams
- Evaluate the current processes and work towards continuous process improvement
- Implement the global processes in APAC according to company standards
- Responsible for local end-user Infrastructure (Desktops, Phones, VC, Network etc)
- Great troubleshooting ability and logical thinking
- Knowledge of the following technologies:
o Microsoft Windows (7 & 10)
o Microsoft Active Directory
o DNS, DHCP, SCCM
o MS Office Suites * Basic understanding of networking concepts (routing/VLAN's/Firewalls/etc.)
- Experience with Data Centre environments (racking and cabling) is an advantage
- Some experience with networking, trading room environments and trading applications (Bloomberg, etc) would be an advantage.
- Participate in our APAC office rotational hours within the team
- Prior experience in supporting follow the sun model
