Our client has been providing top-notch accounting services to leading medical practitioners in Bondi Junction for over 30 years. They pride themselves on their service-focused, proactive approach to supporting high net worth professionals.
They are seeking an intermediate to senior Tax Accountant to join their team. If you have well-developed communication skills and the desire to service clients, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial documents including balance sheets, income statements, and various financial reports for all entity types (including companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs)
- Engage in the preparation and lodgement of tax returns and activity statements (IE: BAS, IAS and STP) for all entity types, l individuals and business clients assigned to you
- Review tax returns and resolve discrepancies
- Preparation and lodgement of periodic compliance lodgements for payroll tax, land tax and other indirect taxation as required
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Ensure timely and professional communication is maintained with clients to build and maintain strong relationships with them
Skills:
- Knowledge and experience with multiple bookkeeping software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, Sage, Quickbooks)
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a Practice Accountant role within Australia
- Deep understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation & SIS regulations, and financial reporting
- Experience with preparation of annual financial statements and returns for self-managed superannuation funds will be highly regarded
- Prior experience with ASIC compliance will be an advantage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an accounting, discipline. (Certifications such as CPA, CA, or IPA will be considered an advantage)
