My client is a leading and well established Private Client Accounting/Financial Advisory firm and currently due to continued growth an incredible opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant or Assistant Manager who has worked in Public Practice. This role will step into an Assistant Manager role reporting to the Client Manager where they are second in charge of one of the five pods incorporating approx 8 staff in each pod.

Objectives of the Role:
The objective of this role is to utilize your extensive experience to assist in the management and support a portfolio of premium clients. You will be responsible for working alongside the Client Manager and the Directors to build and nurture relationships with their existing and new clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist senior Client Managers in the preparation of their compliance work, as well as managing their own client list.
- Exposure/knowledge assisting in advising clients regarding tax planning advice on budgeting, forecasting and value-added services.
- Preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements for all entities including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals, and other statutory compliance.
- Assisting clients with a range of taxation matters, including (but not limited to) FBT, CGT, income tax, and GST.
- Manage and foster client relationships face to face
- Second in charge in a Pod of 8 staff and build culture within the Pod.
- Lead the Pod when the Manager is away.
- Manage own workload and deadlines for clients.
- Reviewing work of accountants.
- Assisting the team with the completing of tasks or work assignments as necessary to ensure client service requirements are met.
Skills & Experience:
- Solid Tax Accounting experience in public practice environment (ideally current)
- CA/CPA qualified
- Highly detail oriented and organized.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with different levels of employees in a team environment.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Qualifications:
- CPA / CA qualified
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
