Your new role
The Senior Taxation Accountant is responsible for ensuring effective and compliant Tax management of the Australian Group.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Prepare and liaise with external tax consultant information and support for the lodgement of tax returns, including company tax, fringe benefits tax, and other relevant tax filings
- Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including GST, payroll taxes, and other relevant tax filings
- Undertake indirect taxation compliance tasks as directed by the Group Reporting and Tax Manager, including GST, payroll tax, and fringe benefits tax.Conduct tax-related financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Prepare documentation and support for tax audits, ensuring compliance and resolving any issues that
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets, considering tax implications
- Work Monday-Friday 8:30-4pm, based out of our Head Office in Nambour.
- Bachelor of Commence/Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting role
- Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
- Solid understanding of Accounting standards, legislations, and the Corporations Act
- Advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills
