We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant at a Senior Level (or a Junior Management Accountant looking at stepping up) to join our small dynamic team and contribute to our continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Develop and implement effective budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective cost management.
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare detailed financial reports for senior management review.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business performance.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely provision of required information.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in management accounting, preferably within the food import and distribution industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and practices.
- Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software, ERP and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
