From income tax to FBT and GST, you'll be the go-to expert for tax advice, compliance and reporting, project planning, governance and risk management.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity reporting to the WesTrac Tax Manager based at our South Guildford office, where you will be responsible for:
- Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely completion of company tax compliance and reporting tasks, including FBT, income tax, and GST.
- Efficiency Champion: Develop and implement processes to streamline the company's tax compliance cycle.
- Expert Advice: Provide tax advice to WesTrac and associated entities, proactively and promptly addressing tax issues.
- Project Support: Assist with tax projects and regulator reviews.
- Risk Management: Identify and escalate potential tax risks and ensure adherence to governance requirements.
- Transparency Reporting: Compile information for tax transparency initiatives.
- Collaboration: Communicate relevant tax matters to stakeholders.
To be successful the following is required:
- Tertiary Accounting degree with substantial taxation experience in an accounting firm, large organisation, or tax regulator
- Post-graduate qualification in taxation or equivalent
- Proficient in interpreting and applying tax legislation
- Skilled in exercising judgment on technical matters
- Ability to collaborate with the Seven Group Holdings group tax function as needed
- Highly adept at problem-solving and decision-making
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems and OneSource FBT software
- Experience with TEA/ITR software (such as Global Integrator)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial software tools
