SalaryWe are on the lookout for experienced, passionate and self-motivated Senior Tech Leads to join one of Australia's leading financial institutions.
The bank has launched its major multi-million dollar tech simplification roadmap which will take place over the next 3 years, so this is a really exciting time to join! The opportunity sits within a brand new program delivery team, you will play an integral role in developing technical expertise and solutions, all the while leading application development teams. Working with key stakeholders you will strive to conduct a successful decommissioning, uplift and simplification of the bank's deposits and transactions platform.
Day to day you will...
- Provide end to end technical expertise in application development and maintenance
- Work collaboratively with the architect and solution designer
- Evaluate and communicate potential downstream consequences of decisions and actions.
- Lead DevOps services and effectively steer application development teams.
- Assume responsibility for the comprehensive delivery of the technical solution within a Squad.
- Actively participate in sprint planning and overseeing delegated sign-offs
- Act as the primary point of contact for developers
- 10+ years of technical expertise in software development (Java, Spring, API's), hardware, networks and applications.
- Previous banking and finance experience is preferred (deposits and/or transactions experience being a major plus!)
- Confident communicator in translating technical requirements into working solutions.
- Strong understanding of Capex and Opex concepts
- Development and deployment experience on more than one platform.
- Infrastructure knowledge
- DevOps experience
- Previous experience leading development teams
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Someone who is actively keeping up to date with technology trends and changes

The role is Sydney based, and the ideal candidate will go into the Sydney office 2 - 3 days a week.
