A rare ongoing opportunity has become available to join the complaints and statutory referrals team as a Senior Technical Advisor – Plumbing.
A fantastic ongoing opportunity to combine your technical plumbing experience and customer service skills to support our Complaints and Statutory Referrals (C&SR) team.
As a Senior Technical Advisor -Plumbing you will be responsible for providing expert plumbing technical advice and assessments to efficiently and effectively resolve plumbing complaints received by the VBA and provide support to the wider VBA.
Core functions include working closely with the team by reviewing a range of plumbing technical complaints and determining issue resolution, managing high risk and complex cases, communicating with stakeholders, attending site where required, compiling detailed and accurate reports and correspondence, and liaising with the key stakeholders across the VBA.
Who we are looking for- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in plumbing design and/or installation practices with a plumbing, engineering or construction organisation.
- Experience in working within a legislative or regulatory environment and/or in a relevant industry profession is highly desirable.
- Advanced understanding and knowledge of the Victorian plumbing regulatory framework contained in the Building Act 1993, Plumbing Regulations 2010 and the Plumbing Code of Australia, or the capacity to quickly attain this knowledge.
- Advanced written communication skills with the ability to write professional correspondence explaining complex technical matters to a range of stakeholders in a clear, concise and confident manner.
- Qualified to gain a licence as a plumber in all classes of plumbing work under Part 12A of the Building Act 1993 and hold current registration in all classes of plumbing work.
