Your part in the ongoing success of our department, in supporting frontline services will see you responsible for a variety of work, including, but not limited to:
- Provide effective administration, procurement and accounting service, including budget and financial performance and reporting, and advice or recommendation for continuous improvement strategies.
- Provide advice relating to procurement and contract management matters to ensure that services within service level agreements are adequately audited, and costs captured and reported, in compliance with all legislation and departmental policies and procedures.
- Manage accounts receivable and debtors’ functions, including monitoring and capturing accurate costs for major events and exercises in line with best practice financial and procurement management and decision-making processes.
- Contribute to the coordination and support of a range of Technical Rescue training courses and workshops, by assisting with planning, scheduling, travel and accommodation activities and provision of accurate information.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholder to ensure provision of funding estimates and data requirements is appropriately managed for strategic and operational initiatives.
- Prepare and review of reports, briefing notes, submissions, and departmental correspondence relating to program initiatives and issues, in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Assist with the maintenance and management of the human resource database, including claims and auditing requirements to ensure accurate and quality information is received and complies with HR policy and procedures.
- Coordinate and maintain staff adjustments so rescue technician stream qualified staff receive the appropriate remuneration for skills acquired / maintained to align with the current certified agreement.
