The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for planning, organising and carrying out software testing in view of releasing quality software products that meet requirements. This requires hands-on browser, API and microservices testing. This includes technical support to customers to aid in the correct identification and classification of potential issues.

As an experienced Senior Test Analyst, you will have the opportunity to redefine Adapt ITs product testing and Quality Assurance processes, applying automated and manual testing to each product component.

• Possess strong technical documentation skills including
• Creating work items and bugs
• Writing acceptance criteria
• Create, document & execute test cases from user stories and/or technical documents
• Education
  • Degree in Computer Science or any other degree acceptable to with a major part relevant to computing
  • Certification in software testing
• Can demonstrate experience in configuring and running automated tests
• Have experience in writing SQL Queries to validate tests
• Possess excellent business skills

  • Provide accurate estimation and produce a breakdown of tasks

The main duties of the Senior Test Analyst are as follows:

• Plan testing at different stages within the development cycle, including formulation of testing objectives and quality criteria, development of testing strategy and recommending testing approach; ensure cohesive integration of test and development activities
• Manage and document the complete test cycle of software development from requirements testing to user acceptance and release testing
• Recommend functional and nonfunctional testing standards and implement same within the software test cycle
• Identify, design and develop test cases in consultation with Product Team based on product requirements
• Carry out regular integration and system testing of software including organising and conducting user acceptance and release testing of the software
• Design, develop and execute reusable and maintainable automated scripts using available tools
• Monitoring testing approach to identify improvements to testing processes
• Maintain effective test data (for use in automated or manual testing)
• Recommend improvements to processes or tooling
• Prepare and submit reports on work progress on a regular basis
• With the intention of maintaining a good technical support, the Test Analyst will assist with technical support queries and participate in the prioritisation, diagnosis and resolution of support issues
• Performs other duties as may be required from time to time

• Releases are deployed with zero bugs
• Testing processes do not block development process
• Ownership of the testing cycle, mentoring other testers in maintaining processes.
• Development of clear testing plans and ability to successfully implement them
• Automated test coverage is increasing
• Testing processes and documentation are maturing
• Customer technical support issues are transparently analysed and processed
